Meat alternatives are food products that mimic the taste, texture, and nutritional profile of meat, but are made from non-meat sources.

You’ll find plant-based chicken, sausages and even plant-based “Meat” grounds. These products can be used in the same way as meat, such as in stir-fries, sandwiches, and salads. Meat alternatives are often fortified with additional nutrients such as protein, iron, and vitamin B12 to make up for the nutrients typically found in meat.
